Hi Everyone, Delia here:

Here is your chance to leave comments, ask questions, make recommendations about the site, suggest additions to product line, etc. We would love to hear from you:-)

Richard and Sandra: City: Lavaur, France ( speaking of the yarn, soap, lotion and pattern sent to them)

Hi Delia

We have never been caressed by angels, feeling unique and exceptional.  An expression of childhood emerges from our emotions, especially with the scented soaps that came in the package.  Memories of our childhood and Provence.

You can feel the love in construction, the journey of men and women who have built their ideas to reach perfection.  Finding the right words for our emotions is tricky, so we sense the subtleties, the art of hand and mind together!  I will say these are divine patterns. Thank you, thank you again, Delia.  Richard and Sandra

Sally: Jackson Hole, Wyoming

I work with Timmy Myers and he showed me your website, looks wonderful.  I love the dogs, beautiful breed of dog.  Timmy showed me the picture of you and his mother, what a great pic.  Must have wonderful memories of her.  I will visit your website from time to time now.  Timmy has nothing but great things to say about you and your family.

Hi Sally

Thanks for writing.  Give Tim a hug for me.  I'd love to see what pic he has of Kathy and myself.  Maybe once in a lifetime you find a truly great friend.  Kathy was that person for me.  I miss her terribly and love her family.  Such great, great memories there! Kathy's Cowl Pattern is named for her.  I asked the designer to change over to a crochet pattern for that, at Kathy's request, because she loved to crochet.  She passed before it was completed.

Beautiful site and lovely animals.  My pack llama herd have all expired and I'm interested in a hearty breed of goat for fiber as well as meat.  Would love to visit your farm alone or with the Log Cabin Arts Guild.

Hello Kimberly

Would love to have you come up and see our operation. You are always welcome! Storms are about to set in for this elevation, so if considering a group visit, might be best to wait until late Spring:-)

Then, you could see the babies as well, which is always a treat.  We are considering getting our own dehairing machine, so that might be an added point of interest for a group visit.  That would not be delivered and operational until April or later.

As to hardiness, you would be hard pressed to ever find a goat more adapted to the NW climate.  Their cashmere keeps them toasty warm and once you feel that cashmere in your hands, you will be spoiled!  Incredibly light, fine and oh so warm.  I bury my hands in it in the Winter when outside to warm them up before putting the gloves back on which never seem warm enough:-)  Health problems are practically non existent with these animals and they are wonderful mothers.

They are a good dual purpose goat: fiber and meat.  Last year, we were discovered by an ethnic market and they love these goats for meat.  Also, because of interest in cuts of meat instead of buying an entire goat, and the requirement to have meat processed USDA if you sell cuts to the public, we had our first goat processed USDA to determine the cost per lb. We also tried several different methods of cooking.  Oh my gosh......why is it that there is such a stereotype about eating goat meat?!  We tried it smoked, which was so wonderful no one bothered to leave the smoker in the middle of a rainstorm to go inside to eat it - just sliced it off where they stood as if someone was going to beat them to the next cut...!  We also tried it with Ethiopian spices and that was absolutely wonderful.  We have had it in stew meat, etc.  Lower in cholesterol than chicken and wonderful flavor.  Finer grain, red, and tastes a lot like beef only with a more intense beef flavor.

If there is any off flavor, it is in the fat.  As long as fat is removed, absolutely no off flavor.  Would suggest if processed to have them not include fat in the ground meat.

Well, as you can see, I am a bit sold on these cashmeres!  Anyway, please come anytime and enjoy Ravenwood with us:-)

Melanie: Spokane, Washington

Hi Delia.  I received a beautiful pair of Ravenwood Cashmere gloves last year for Christmas and they are my favorite!  Even after a year of much love and use, they are still in excellent shape and look great!  I would highly recommend buying finished products or using cashmere from Ravenwood!  Thanks for your great products and wonderful treatment of your animals!

Hi Melanie

I am thrilled to hear you are enjoying your gloves and that they are serving you well.  With the quality of yarn that goes into them, be assured, they will bring you many more years of enjoyment:-)
